January 2015 Newsletter

Happy New Year!
It’s all change this year, with new publishers and new series – and a relaunch of my website!
Going forward, I’m writing my contemporaries and paranormals under the name L.M. Connolly. Lynne Connolly will still be the name for my historicals. I decided to split the site, rather than create two identities, so I’ll still be talking about all the books as Lynne. It’s just a way of separating what I write and giving each genre a bit more room.
Tell me what you think!
there are links from Lynne to L.M. and back again, so if you like everything I write (and bless you for that!) you can make the switch easily. And the basic layout of both sites is the same. Don’t you hate when you visit multiple websites and you have to navigate your way around in a different way? Or maybe that’s part of the pleasure for you. I’m a relative beginner, so let me know!
I designed both sites, but these days it’s a lot easier than it used to be. But I still make mistakes, so I’d appreciate knowing if you come across any. And any improvements you’d like to see.
For the rest, what does 2015 have in store?
Well, I’ll be at RT in May, in Dallas, and I’m arriving with my friend, author Liah Penn, so do let us know about anything we simply must not miss! I’m going back to New Orleans beforehand, because I can’t stay away. Love that town!
My arthritis is thriving, but that means I’m using speech recognition some of the time. Got to love that my computer now knows all the dirty words! It seems a bit obsessed with them, actually, and I’m going to have to make it unlearn them!
For this month all the books in the Dept 57 series are $2.99, a dollar off.
Oh yes, and I’ve reduced the price of the first in the series, “Chemistry of Evil.” Free on every platform except Amazon, where it’s 99 cents, which is all that Amazon will allow individual publishers. Apparently, if you tell Amazon that you got the book cheaper elsewhere, they’ll make the book free, but I can’t do it any other way. So if you want to load your Kindle, that’s the way!
Next month, I have a big release – the next Emperors book, “Temptation Has Green Eyes”!
If you feel so inclined, tweets and Facebooks, Amazon reviews and all the other things that help a book to get noticed are greatly appreciated.
So what are your plans for the year? Will I see any of you at RT?
